Welcome to the weather forecast model animator champion! Visualize and animate recent weather forecast model data with this animator tool. You can access the latest forecast information from major weather models within the last 24 hours, including the 0.25 degree GFS, 12km NAM, 3km HRRR, and 3km RRFS models. Whether you're a meteorologist, weather enthusiast, or researcher, the WxYard weather forecast animator is a powerful tool to help you better understand weather model output.

Setting Up Your Configuration

1. If you're using a desktop, the interface on the left hand side of the screen allows you to make a request for weather forecast model data. In cell/tablet mode, tap the "Request" button at the top and fill the form out inside the modal that appears.
2. Once you've established your preferred weather forecast model configuration, click the "Save State" button. This action will save your setup and automatically recall it every time you visit the site.

What Is A Virtual Screen?

"Virtual screens" in this animator act the same way virtual desktops work in any modern operating system. A "virtual screen" represents the entire area for holding graphics. Once you have made a successful submission, this welcome message will dissapear and this area becomes your virtual screen. A "virtual screen" can hold up to four sets of data. This means that you can setup up a total of 16 different sets of data across 4 virtual screens.
