Welcome to WxYard, you champion you! WxYard is a lightweight but powerful weather site built for meteorologists, storm chasers, spotters, and weather nerds who want to analyze real-time and forecast weather data. The map above streams live mosaic radar, active National Weather Service warnings, station plotting, and more, updating live as the weather does.

Beyond the radar, WxYard runs a full set of forecasting tools: a weather forecast model animator with GFS, NAM, RRFS, and HRRR imagery, a four panel GOES-19 satellite animator, RTMA real time mesoanalysis for current surface conditions, and NWS MOS guidance for all 50 states. Every product animator holds onto historical data for up to 24 hours and can be customized to your liking. Saving your favorite animations is just a few clicks away!

Known Issues/Upcoming Fixes

Warnings feed is from weather.gov API and doesn't update as fast as it should. Lag of 3-4 minutes from the feed when I'm polling every minute. warnings.cod.edu is used in GRLevel3...
The SPC Storm Reports feed is known to be experimental. The feature may not always work!
There is a bug in the animators where an error can occur if you rapidly cycle through Virtual Screens before the auto loading of images on the screen have finished loading for the active screen. To avoid the bug until it's resolved, if using the "Save State" feature, wait until the screen has finished loading images before proceeding to the next virtual screen.
